For his birthday we were planning on a jungle safari theme with a water slide and slip and slide.Possibly a water gun safari hunt where his friends are the animals. But would like more ideas to make his day even more special.
Ooh I love the safari idea:) Maybe use water balloons too? Don’t forget to check with the other parents about the water guns-you never know how uptight people can get when it comes to their kids playing with guns(even if they are water). You could do a pinata too-they usually have animal shaped ones:)
Hope the day is great for all of you!!!
get him a birthday cake

You could do facepainting, or find someone who can do basic face painting and paint everyone’s faces as different animals. They get really excited at this age if you let them choose which animal they want. You could hide prizes or littly toys in the yard, and have a safari hunt to find the missing toys that were lost long ago. Dress up as a jungle explorer so that the children think that you’re the real deal. Simply wear cargo pants, a cargo vest and hiking boots, with an explorer hat. Look at ValueVillage etc. for these kind of things for little money. Play animal charades if the party gets too hectic. Explain the rules, and keep it as simple as you can. You can let them make noises to get them more involved in the game. Play pin the trunk on the elephant or something like that, and let them have fun that way. An easy game is dance freeze, or you can make it animal dance freeze to keep them occupied. Make sure to have extra games and activities, and more than you have time for just incase they become bored with the games during the party. You can hang an animal pinata from the tree for something extra if you want. Have fun!

Oh! That’s a good idea, i’ll run with that…
You could have it so… sweets are treasure or something, but any judgmental kids may think it’s too cliche. Remember to use masks or face paints. Also i hope you decorate it well (Plastic snakes, stuffed animals, etc…)
Sounds like it would be fun – feels like you have most of it covered though – hope you all have a good day (Y)

Myself and personal opinion
sounds like your going a bit overboard. My daughter just turned 4 also, and she seemed happy with the simple things for hers. And I wouldnt suggest a safari hunt with his friends as animals even if it is just a water gun…Maybe try making some animals because you dont want to teach him to shoot at people….

You could have them "hunt" for a special prize. It could be like $5.00 (they’re only 4) or a jungle stuffed animal like a monkey. You have some very creative ideas though. It already seems special! My only other suggestion is get all the kids little4 jungle/safari hats!
