Are safaris all about hunting?
Feb 24th, 2010 by admin
I thought it was more about touring a country’s landscape and so I was looking to plan a future trip – ‘my dream trip,’ so to speak. However, the one company I’m looking at seems to be mostly for hunting and maybe some fishing.
Should I look elsewhere? Can a safari company customize a trip for potential customers? I’ve never been fishing – -before so that’s an option, but I could do that here too…
Thanks.
There are safari companies who specialize in a variety of trips and experiences depending on the customer, the national laws of that country, and the price range of the customer. They are mostly concentrated in South and Eastern portions of Africa because of the large concentration of large wildlife in these countries and can vary greatly from hunting, fishing, luxury tents and base camps, roughing it in a village, to just picture taking expeditions where no hunting is permitted. You should definitely look toward another company if you do not find what you want in your price range and accommodations. There is a lot of information on the subject so just don’t stop at one website or book. Here are a few:
www.lonelyplanet.com
www.tripadvisor.com
www.bradt-travelguides.com/
local travel agent (always double check info)
And have a great trip.
lol

No. Most safaris are photographic safaris and they ’shoot’ using only a camera. Travel Connections is a safari company based in Nairobi, Kenya and we provide safari services in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Rwanda and Egypt. We can customize your dream safari holiday and vacation to visit the magnificent wildlife in Kenya and Tanzania then take you to the mountain jungles of Rwanda and Uganda to see the rear gorillas. By the time you are through with this, you will definitely need some time to relax; so we will take you to the beautiful beaches of Mombasa or Zanzibar where you can scuba dive or do deep sea diving. Contact us on info@safariafrika.com
