Day 1: Arrival at Kotoka International Airport in Accra
- transfer to Biriwa Beach Hotel
in the Central region. The distance from the airport to the hotel is about
120 km and we will use 3 hours approximately.
Day 2: After breakfast tour discussion after which you will visit
the Kakum National Park
& Cape Coast Castle.
Day 3: We drive to Kumasi after
breakfast where we will visit the Museum and the market. In the afternoon
we will drive to Lake
Bosomtwe where we will spend the night.
Day 4: We drive towards Techiman where we will visit the Monkey Sanctuary
of Boabeng - Fiema.
Day 5: Early departure towards Mole
National Park stopping on the way by the Kintampo
Waterfall. Depending on road and weather conditions we will reach
the Mole National Park around 4pm where we will spend the next 2
nights.
Day 6: Safari through Mole National
Park
Day 7: Early departure to Larabanga to visit the oldest Mosque
in Ghana after which we continue to Tamale - capital of Northern region,
where we will spend the night. In Tamale you can visit the arts market and
hunt for a bargain to purchase souvenirs.
Day 8: We drive further northwards to Bolgatanga. We
will stop to visit the beautiful hand painted huts of the villages Tongo,
Tengzug and Sirigu if time permits us. Overnight in Bolgatanga.
Day 9: We drive to
Paga with its famous Crocodiles
which tell the future!!
Day 10: After
breakfast we drive back to Tamale. After arrival you may spend the
remainder of the day exploring the city. Overnight in Tamale.
Day 11: Drive to Makongo to join the Ferry which we will board to cross the
Volta lake to Yeji to join the Yapei Queen.
Day 12: Journey down the Volta Lake
to Akosombo aboard the Yapei Queen.
Day 13: Arrival at Akosombo - drive to Accra
the capital of Ghana. Upon on our arrival at Akosombo we drive to
the Biriwa Beach Hotel with a
stop over in Accra for dinner.
Day 14: Beach Day. In the
evening you will be entertained by a local Cultural Troupe with
traditional dances.
Day 15:
After breakfast we leave Biriwa Beach Hotel and set off on a sight seeing tour of Accra
after which we have lunch at the Country Kitchen. a typical Ghanaian
Restaurant. Here we have our last Ghanaian Lunch 9 they serve continental
dishes as well ). After lunch we leave for the Kotoka International
Airport where our journey ends and we say Good Bye.
