African safari toilets?
May 10th, 2010 by admin
was wondering how the toilets are when you do a african safari? When you camp or in the hotel? Thanks.
Some toilets are holes in the ground that are flush with the floor, either a cement or tiled floor. Some are american style.
Either way, travel with some toilet paper of your own and hand sanitizer. Sometimes the paper runs out. Sometimes they hang out cloth towels for communal use. Do not use them, use a paper towel or hand sanitizer.
if you are going on a typical tourist safari, the accommodations will probably be wonderful, the Kenyan’s go out of their way to make Americans feel at home and the tourist trade caters to Americans and Europeans.

Toilets in a hotel are the same as anywhere in the world, with a seat and flushes….but in camps, it depends on where you pitch, some camps have pit latrine on the site and others have the same normal toilets. why are you wondering, you can always take a leak in the bushes, its adventurous….lol…
